This is the Bible that will still be intact after decades of daily use, and have the character to show it.

Crafted with Wickett & Craig English Bridle leather, this cover is made the same way leather has been trusted for generations—vegetable tanned, densely structured, and built to endure.

Bridle leather is hot-stuffed with waxes and oils, giving it natural resistance to moisture and wear. It doesn’t break down—it develops character.

Exterior Leather Raised & Tanned in the USA

WICKETT & CRAIG LEATHER
Tanned in Pennsylvania by one of the last traditional vegetable tanneries in the United States.

Structured, not flimsy

RUGGED STRUCTURE
This is a more substantial Bible in the hand. This vegetable-tanned cowhide provides a solid structure for your Bible.

Aging that tells a story

Deerskin Leather

Deerskin leather is known for its exceptionally soft feel, rugged appearance, and natural character. Each hide carries unique grain patterns, markings, and texture that make every rebuild one of a kind.

Natural Rugged Character

Unlike more refined or uniform leathers, deerskin carries natural markings and variation formed through the life of the animal itself. These markings are not flaws — they are part of what gives each Bible its distinct personality and heritage feel.

Personally Harvested Deer Hide Option

Much of the deerskin we use comes from deer personally harvested by us and family members. Customers also have the option to send in their own harvested deerskin to create a deeply personal heirloom connected to family memories, traditions, and experiences.

Who's The Hunter's Heirloom for?

THE RUGGED CHRISTIAN
Hunter’s Heirloom has a soft, supple, broken-in feel from the very beginning while still being built for years of daily use. It’s especially suited for Christians who appreciate rugged craftsmanship, God's creation, and a Bible that grows in character from daily reading.

Questions About Bible Rebinding

Everything you need to know before beginning your heirloom restoration.

Collapsible content

Why invest in Bible rebinding instead of buying a new Bible?

Many modern Bibles are produced with bonded leather and mass-market materials that wear out quickly under daily use. The construction of most new Bibles is sub-par, using paper as the primary structure holding your Bible together. Rebinding using full-grain leather preserves the Bible you’ve already spent years studying, marking, carrying, and living in - and ensures it will last for decades to come.

Do I send in my own Bible?

Typically, yes. Our Bible restoration begins with your personal Bible. Whether it’s worn, falling apart, or simply ready for an upgrade, we carefully rebuild it by hand.
We also can rebind NEW Bibles - this is another popular option. You can send in your preferred Bible or we have a few options available as well.

Can my notes, highlights, and markings be preserved?

Absolutely. Your notes, highlights, sermon outlines, prayers, and years of study remain fully intact throughout the restoration process. Preserving the history inside your Bible is one of the most important parts of what we do.
In some cases, pages that have significant damage cannot be repaired. We communicate with you directly on these situations to determine the best solution.

What types of Bibles can be rebound?

We can restore most sewn-binding Bibles, including study Bibles, preaching Bibles, heirloom Bibles, and heavily used daily readers. If you are unsure whether your Bible qualifies for restoration, contact us and we’ll gladly review it with you.
If you have a glue-bound Bible, contact us so we can discuss options.

What happens after I place my order?

After placing your order, you’ll receive shipping instructions to safely send us your Bible. Once it arrives, we begin the restoration process by carefully removing the old cover, preparing the text block, and handcrafting your rebuild using the selected materials and customizations.

How long does the rebinding process take?

Because every rebuild is completed by hand, turnaround times vary depending on workload and complexity. Current turnaround estimates are listed on the top of our website.
We believe heirloom craftsmanship is worth the wait!

What is the difference between your rebinding collections?

Each collection offers a distinct feel, structure, and leather experience.

  • American Legend is built for rugged durability and decades of daily study using USA leather for the exterior.
  • Classic Goat offers a softer, luxurious feel with flexible everyday carry comfort.
  • Hunter’s Heirloom is extremely soft and flexible, using deerskin for the exterior. It has a very unique look and connection to God's creation.

Every collection is handcrafted using premium heirloom materials designed to last for generations.

Is my Bible taken apart during the restoration process?

Yes. The original cover is carefully removed so the Bible can be properly rebuilt from the ground up. This allows us to reinforce the spine, improve durability, and create a restoration designed for long-term daily use.

Can I customize my rebuild?

Yes. Depending on your selected collection, customization options may include:

  • Exterior Leather Color
  • Interior Liner Color
  • Interior Color Theme
  • Personalized Stamping

Our goal is to create a Bible that feels personal while remaining timeless, durable and easy to purchase.

Do you offer fully custom heirloom Bible builds?

Yes. In addition to restoration work, we also offer custom heirloom Bible builds using premium materials and handcrafted construction. Contact us directly for custom build inquiries and a custom quote.

Why Threefold Leather?

We started Threefold because we believe Christians should own things built to last. In a disposable culture, we want to create heirloom craftsmanship that serves daily faithfulness, preserves family legacy, and reflects the beauty of God's Word.
